      Hi guys!

Well, I think that its weird we DON’T have much hair!! Because if you think about it why did we ever start wearing clothes? what happened that made us think that was a good idea? surely it would make more sense to have hair and stay warm like the other animals?

And if we came from a common ancestor with monkeys then that would mean we started off with hair all over us right?

      🙂

      To Look Gorrrrgus!! 🙂

It keeps your head warm… the brain needs to keep a pretty constant temperature so your hair helps with this… cus if you think there’s not much insulation on your head.. skin, skull brain and very little fat or flesh…

Hair is really important for keeping you at the correct temperature – about 37 degrees C.

As well as keeping your head warm, the hairs on the rest of your body help to keep you warm too. When you get cold you get goosebumps and the hairs on your arms stand up. This traps a pocket of air next to the skin helping to insulate the skin against heat loss. When we are hot, they lie flat, allowing heat to escape.

      Pretty nifty, don’t you think?
