• Question: Why don't we get stars in Singapore? I thought it was because of the pollution but is there that much here? Or is it because of all the city lights?

Hello emilee! Great question. Here in Phoenix, AZ area we can’t see too many stars either =( The answer is light pollution. Stars are pretty faint so their light can easily get washed out by the presence of a lot of human lighting.

If you ever get to go out to a really remote place, make sure you look up at night – its phenomenal!! It is amazing how much is up there that we can’t see because of light pollution.
