      A really good question!

I hadn’t really heard of nematode worms until I was at University and one of our practicals involved using them. While some people thought that they were really gross I though it was really cool that something so simple can tell us so much about how humans work.

I then spent 6 months working on them for my final year project at Uni and loved them so much that I wanted to keep studying them. These little worms have been responsible for 3 Noble prizes in recent years and scientists have even sent them in to space!
