• Question: what's the blood cells made from

      Hey muffy!

      There are too main types of blood cells – white ones (which fight infection) and red ones (which carry around oxygen and give your blood its colour). Both of these types of cell are made up of the normal stuff that makes up all your body cells – cytoplasm (the gooey stuff inside the cell which hold all the important organelles) and a membrane (which keeps all the gooey stuff inside).

      Whats interesting about red blood cells is that they don’t have a nucleus – so don’t carry DNA like other cells.
