Hi Ollieboy2! That is a great question for a scientist! Since I am quite early in my career I don’t think I’ve made a discovery yet that is exceptionally exciting, although that certainly is the dream =) The work I am finishing up write now is pretty exciting though – and will probably be my most exciting discovery when it is done!! I am trying to figure out what chemistry on early Earth was most important for life – and I am getting some pretty interesting results that will tell us not only about life on the very ancient Earth but possibly elsewhere in our own solar system and beyond! Science is a process, so it can take a long time to work discoveries out – but that is part of the fun, you never know what excitement the next day will bring. I am pretty excited about finding out where my work will take me!
I am also prett early on in my career so I haven’t discovered anything completely groundbreaking…but I have discovered some smaller things about the involvement of particular proteins in the release of cytokine (chemical message) by our T cells in our blood and that kinds cool! Sometimes when you discover something other people don’t believe you so it can take a while to scientifically prove that your discovery is real and that they should!! 🙂
Havn’t made any whopping discovery yet… still pretty young..I have started making some molecules which could possibly used as medicines which is pretty exciting for me anyway..Two more years to go.. who knows fingers toes and everythin crossed 🙂
