Hi 08obrient!! Yes I am excited to say I am involved in NASA projects! I work for NASA now as a postgraduate researcher. I am very fortunate to be funded by the NASA Astrobiology Program to do work I am really interested in. NASA pays my salary and travel expenses to do my work in astrobiology. Astrobiology is the study of life in the universe (yes that does include the search for aliens!). What I study for NASA is the appearance of the first life on Earth. We hope it will tell us more about the possibility of life on other planets. I also did a NASA project as an undergraduate student in Florida. We tried to extract water from moon soil – that was pretty amazing to be a part of!

I’ve never been directly involved in NASA projects. NASA has managed to cause some well documented accidents and mission failures that we study as a way of learning about how things can go wrong.

I haven’t ever been involved in any NASA projects. The worms I study have been sent in to space before though:

Maybe someday I could help NASA work on them. Unlikely, but you never know 😉
