      Hi Jberg.

      Volcanoes are like earthquakes – they don’t follow a schedule, and so they are never “due” to errupt. Unlike earthquakes you can sometimes predict if a volcano is just about to errupt by symptoms of lava movement. There’s no particular reason to expect an eruption of Vesuvius soon, but that doesn’t mean it won’t happen.
