Question: Is it possible for heliosphere's of different solar systems to overlap if they are too close? or would they just merge into one?

Hello cai! Yes can then cover lap and merge. Most stars in the universe are actually part of binary stars systems – that means that unlike our solar system, there are actually two stars orbiting each other. The boundary of the heliosphere is defined as the border of where the Sun’s solar wind domain of influence becomes insignificant. Two stars near each other will both have their own solar wind but the combined effects of their winds will have a border much like that of our own heliosphere. Although it will be more complex with two stars, it will have similar structure =)
