      So the states of matter are solid liquid and gas…

      Fire is energy released very quickly usually due to a change in the sate of matter..
      e.g in the simplest of terms when we burn something it may turn from solid/liquid into gases. e.g coal under complete combustion turns into carbon dioxide and water (of course there are other by products sulphur and nitrogen containing compounds to name the two other major ones.)

      Fire is not a state of matter its merely a visual form of energy!
