• Question: if you swallow chewing gum does it take 5 years to digest

      Hi annelouise!

      No – you can’t really digest chewing gum at all… but it will pass through your body only slightly slower than other food! so don’t worry, it won’t get stuck in there forever! still, its not a good idea to swallow it all the same! 🙂

      Its more likly to pass through.. It doesn’t digest because it contains plastic.
