I have spoken to my friend Dr. Ed and he says that rotavirus is probably the most common and causes diarrhoea in infants. Other common ailments are things like chicken pox…what is great about having childhood vaccinations in this country is that the incidence of things like measles, mumps and rubella is reduced compared to what it was in the past. 🙂
If you have any more questions for Dr. Ed let me know!! 🙂
The common cold!?
Children often get alot of viral infections as thier imune system hasn;t fully developed.
Getting ill tho is kinda important for children for thier imune system to develop and be able to recognise and fight these virus’ in the future…
Chicken pox is an excellent example.. you gte in once as a child, and you are less likely to get in again, due to your body already having the defences to deal with it.
Thanks… I cant wait until i can start university! IM very excited to learn all about the body! Thats probably why i love biology in science so much! Thank you fro asking your friend the doctor for me! 🙂 🙂
