      Lots. Most working scientists go to conferences or workshops two or three times a year. Some of these are in other countries. It’s usual to work in more than one country during your career too.

      I’ve worked in Canberra, Brisbane, Boston (the USA one), and York. I’ve been to Singapore, France, Japan, Rhode Island, and Hong Kong as well, mostly for work.
