      Hi Botter7r2. The leaves of plants collect energy from the sun using a process called photosynthesis.
      This process takes water (from the ground) and carbon dioxide (from the air) and energy (from the sun). It gives out sugar to feed the plant and oxygen as a waste product that goes back into the air.
