I guess its because chemistry is associated with whizz bangs and wallops!
As of yet I haven’t made anything explode… And to be honest I don want to. why?…
Explosions are generally caused when reactions run away, get too hot too quickly and are therefore out of control. This is of course a major safety hazzard!
We don’t want explosions we want safe controlled chemistry. Doesn’t sound to fun. But I dont want my hands blown off!!!
I guess the only type of chemist that actually wants an explosion is a Pyrotechnict – they make fireworks!
