      Hey Jasmin,
I have heard about conjoined twins, also known as siamese twins.. they often can share organs. Conjoined twins dont often life after birth and are often still born to many of the complications that occur internally. The oldest known conjoined twins lived to 60!
Sometimes they can be separated depending on where and how severly they are joined… it all depends case by case…

Did you have anything specific that you wanted to know about conjoined twins.. there’s quite a bit on the internet, and to be honest fairly vivid pictures! be warned!

      Hi Jasmin,

What exactly do you want to know about conjoined twins. As Julia said, sometimes they can be separated but sometimes in order to separate them not both twins can survive.

Hello jasmin! Coinjoined twins are really interesting. There are all sorts of interesting questions we can learn about ourselves from the lives of coinjoined twins. Recently I have been really really fascinated by an unusual case of conjoined twins that may share parts of their mind! It is unusual for twins joined at the head to survive, but they sometimes do. Four year old Krista and Tatiana are survivors joined at the head. They are a very special case of even this special case though – they actually share a neural bridge! That means their brains talk directly to each other. If krista and tatiana are facing opposite directions and krista sees a duck, tatiana can report that is blue. This is absolutely amazing and completely unknown to science until now! This opens the possibility of learning all kinds of things about how our brains work from these two special little girls. I am sure they will face a lot of challenges in their lives, but most important for now krista and tatiana seem pretty happy to have each other =)

Hi guys! Yes I’ve heard about them and watched TV programmes about them but I’m not sure I can give you more info than these guys unless you have a specific question about them? 🙂
