Hi again Sophie! I definitely think alternate universes are possible and maybe even probable. The current idea in cosmology is that our universe may be one of a many many “bubble” universes that are all disconnected and may be quite different. Its tough to say for sure though – we can’t observe any of these possible universe since it is outside our own universe. But I would say yes – I do think other universes are out there. It is pretty mind boggling to think of all the possibilities!

Oh one more thing I thought you might enjoy. This is one of my favorite Marie Curie quotes “Nothing in life is to be feared, it is only to be understood. Now is the time to understand more, so that we may fear less. ” Whenever I am unsure if I want to really push the boundaries of our unknown I think about her words of understanding. To me it is pretty inspiring!! Something like alternate universes can be intimidating to think about, but when it gets down to it, thinking about it is the best way to conquer the unknown!

Great questions Sophie!! You are really inspiring me here =)

Yes, I think that alternate universes are possible. I wonder if we will know the answer within our lifetime?

Hi Sophie, I love your questions. Drer does too, but he seems to think your name is Soli. As I look out on the green sky and the yellow grass, I find it hard to imagine any other universe but this one.

      It is certainly possible.

The quote Sarah put up I think about a lot too…for different reasons. Every time I use radiation I think about Marie Curie and how she said “Nothing in life is to be feared, it is only to be understood. Now is the time to understand more, so that we may fear less. ” and wonder maybe if she’d feared a bit more she wouldn’t have died from exposure to the stuff!!
